Anti-Splitting plates

In making every effort to extend the life of both Cross Ties and Switch Ties, McCord Tie and Timber use anti-splitting plates on 100% of material.

Dual Treatment / Borate & Creosote

All AREMA Grade Cross Ties are treated with Borate prior to air seasoning. Using the true two-step process, dual treatment (Borate and Creosote) has been proven to eliminate decay during the seasoning period as well as significantly improve the performance and integrity of the tie.
